An out-of-this-world Doncic: “He’s a supernova, with him we’re in a spaceship”

Luka Doncic delivered another dominant performance, posting 42 points, 13 assists, and seven rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 20-point victory over the Miami Heat. The win improved the Lakers' record to 6-2 on the season. Following the game, Lakers head coach JJ Redick praised Doncic as an offensive "supernova," emphasizing how quickly the team operates when the Slovenian star is on the court.

Doncic has now scored at least 37 points in five consecutive games, exceeding 40 in four of them. Opponents and teammates praised his historic scoring ability, with Heat star Giannis Antetokounmpo calling Doncic one of the best scorers in basketball history. Antetokounmpo led Miami with 30 points and 12 rebounds, but could not overcome Doncic's performance.
