Five Buss siblings filed a court document opposing Jeanie Buss's sole vote to sell the family's remaining 17.82% Los Angeles Lakers stake.

Five Buss siblings have filed a 29-page court document in Los Angeles Superior Court opposing their sister, Los Angeles Lakers acting governor Jeanie Buss. The filing, submitted on behalf of Joey and Janie Buss, challenges Jeanie's petition to remove them as co-trustees. Jeanie had sought their removal to void a previous 5-1 sibling vote approving the sale of the family's remaining stake in the franchise.
Selling the family's remaining 17.8% ownership share would end Jeanie's role as governor, which requires at least a 15% stake in the team. The filing disputes her authority to block the transaction following the majority stake sale to Josh Kushner and Bob Iger.
