Sandro Mamukelashvili scored 19 points off the bench on 7-of-10 shooting to help the Los Angeles Lakers secure a 114-110 preseason victory over the Sacramento Kings. The 6-foot-10 forward-center, who signed a four-year, $52 million deal in the offseason, also tallied three rebounds and four assists in the win.
Through three preseason games, Mamukelashvili has played multiple frontcourt roles due to Walker Kessler's absence, averaging 14 points and 3.7 assists per game. Teammate Austin Reaves praised his offensive impact and communication, noting that the team wants him to play with full confidence as he adapts to defensive responsibilities with assistant coach Lindsey Harding.
