The Los Angeles Lakers have exceeded expectations to begin the season as they currently are tied for the best record in the league at 8-2. After completely overhauling the roster this past offseason, everyone thought it would take some time…

Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick expressed encouragement regarding the team's early-season chemistry and resiliency following an 8-2 start to the season. Despite a significant offseason roster overhaul, the Lakers have matched the best record in the league, most recently overcoming an early deficit to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers.
The roster began building cohesion during an offseason minicamp with Luka Doncic in Slovenia, followed by training camp under Redick. Redick noted that while becoming a great team remains a long process, he appreciated how his players handled early adversity before their upcoming road trip against the Detroit Pistons.
