Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick expressed satisfaction with his team's defensive progress following a 116-103 road victory against the Sacramento Kings on November 4, 2026. The Lakers held Sacramento to 39% shooting from the field and converted 17 Kings turnovers into 23 points. Redick praised the team's effort, switching, and activity after calling an early timeout.
While Redick noted that execution errors still occur, he emphasized that the team's defensive intent and second efforts are steadily improving. Offensively, Luka Doncic led the Lakers with 40 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, becoming the first player in NBA history to record six consecutive games with at least 35 points, five rebounds, five assists, and five 3-pointers.
