The Los Angeles Lakers concluded their preseason schedule with a 121-106 defeat against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night. A difficult start saw the Lakers fall behind early, trailing by 14 points after the opening period and facing an uphill battle throughout the contest. Denver's steady offense, led by Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokić, and Trevon Brazile, consistently halted several Los Angeles comeback attempts.
Austin Reaves led the Lakers with 19 points, while Luka Dončić contributed 15 points in 18 first-half minutes before sitting out the second half. Sandro Mamukelashvili also scored 15 points, and Ziaire Williams added 14 points off the bench. Denver's Cam Johnson was ejected in the third quarter after committing a Flagrant 2 foul on Reaves.
