Luka Doncic equals Kobe Bryant’s Los Angeles Lakers record in latest historic scoring run.

Luka Doncic matched a historic franchise scoring record previously held by Kobe Bryant, scoring 53 points in the Los Angeles Lakers' 124-118 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. The performance marked Doncic's fourth consecutive game with at least 40 points, making him the first Laker since Bryant in January 2012 to accomplish the feat and joining Elgin Baylor and George Mikan in franchise history.
Doncic added five rebounds, five assists, and five three-pointers to lift the Lakers to an 8-2 record on a four-game winning streak. Los Angeles overcame an early 16-point deficit after missing their first 15 three-point attempts, fueled by a 17-0 run to start the second half where Doncic scored 20 third-quarter points.
