Longtime NBA insider Marc Stein has successfully built his independent newsletter, The Stein Line, into a thriving media business following his departures from ESPN and The New York Times. Launched on Substack in 2021, the publication currently ranks ninth among the platform's paid sports publications, offering readers proprietary, intel-heavy basketball reporting.
