As Jamal Murray trade buzz continues to grow, we look at why the Memphis Grizzlies should pursue a deal later this season.

Jason Burgos of Sportsnaut suggests the Memphis Grizzlies could target Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray in a trade to accelerate their rebuild. An NBA executive reportedly told Heavy's Sean Deveney that the Nuggets must consider trading Murray to reset their roster and acquire draft picks around Nikola Jokic. Following a strong 6-2 start to the 2026-27 season led by young talent, Memphis could emerge as a viable destination.
Burgos argues that Memphis holds ample trade capital, including 11 first-round draft picks over the next six drafts. A proposed permanent trade package could include Ty Jerome and Jerami Grant to match salaries, pairing the 29-year-old Murray with young prospects Cam Boozer and Cedric Coward.
