The Story in 60 Seconds

Former Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd refuted claims made by Doc Rivers regarding Giannis Antetokounmpo's basketball IQ. Appearing on ESPN's NBA Today, Kidd responded to Rivers' comments on The Bill Simmons Podcast, where Rivers argued that Antetokounmpo lacks high-level execution and a top-tier basketball mind. Kidd defended his former player, stating that Antetokounmpo understands how to play and praised his downhill forcefulness as an elite top-five player in the league.

Rivers coached Antetokounmpo for two and a half seasons before stepping down following a 97–103 tenure with Milwaukee.
