Rookie guard Tre Donaldson led all scorers with 25 points during the Miami Heat's annual Red, White and Pink scrimmage on Tuesday night. Donaldson played for the White team, which secured a 118-116 victory, while fellow young guards Ryan Conwell and Bez Mbeng added 22 and 20 points, respectively. Donaldson's strong outing came as the Heat evaluate their backcourt depth amid injuries to other roster members.
Miami played without guard Dru Smith, who is expected to miss a couple of weeks due to a right calf strain. Other sidelined players included Pelle Larsson, Andrew Wiggins, and Keshad Johnson. Signed to a two-way contract in July, Donaldson is eligible to split time between the Heat and their G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
