The Milwaukee Bucks dropped their home opener to the Chicago Bulls 132-125, falling to an 0-2 start for the first time since the 2015-16 season. Tyler Herro paced Milwaukee with 34 points, five rebounds, and four assists, but it was not enough to overcome a balanced Chicago attack. Seven Bulls players reached double figures, with Norman Powell leading the team with 25 points and Caleb Wilson adding 21 points in the road victory.
Milwaukee built an early 15-point lead in the first quarter before Chicago countered under head coach Tiago Splitter. The game remained tight late into the fourth quarter, but a controversial blocking foul on Kasparas Jakučionis allowed Wilson to make two decisive go-ahead free throws with 1:16 remaining. Free-throw disparity proved pivotal, as Milwaukee converted just 14 of 26 attempts, while Chicago shot 26 of 28 from the line.
