LaMelo Ball can help ease natural fears about Rudy Gobert’s age

Eamon Cassels argues that the Minnesota Timberwolves' acquisition of LaMelo Ball can mitigate aging concerns for 34-year-old center Rudy Gobert. While Gobert remains an elite defender with strong durability, his offensive production dropped to 10.9 points per game last season amid Minnesota's declining playmaking.

Cassels writes that Ball's elite passing and pick-and-roll abilities will revitalize Gobert as a rim-runner. Pointing to Ball's past success elevating big men in Charlotte, the writer projects that Gobert will become a more consistent offensive threat despite entering the later stages of his career.
