LaMelo Ball spotted an opportunity from the bench, then helped the Timberwolves take control late against Houston with Anthony Edwards sidelined.

LaMelo Ball studied the game from the bench before returning to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 117-107 victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. Ball scored 12 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, either scoring or assisting on 15 consecutive points during a crucial four-minute stretch that turned a deficit into a lead.
Head coach Chris Finch praised Ball's aggression and decision-making down the stretch as Minnesota continues to adjust following Anthony Edwards' knee surgery. Ball also connected with teammates Jonathan Kuminga, Ayo Dosunmu, and Rudy Gobert to secure the win against a Rockets team that entered the contest at 7-1.
