If Ayo Dosunmu proves to have more synergy with the Timberwolves' starters early in the season, he should start in place of Jonathan Kuminga.

Eamon Cassels of Dunking with Wolves argues that the Minnesota Timberwolves should consider bringing forward Jonathan Kuminga off the bench if starting lineup fit issues emerge. While head coach Chris Finch currently views Kuminga as the starting power forward after he signed a $6 million deal, the writer suggests that Ayo Dosunmu might ultimately offer better perimeter shooting and offensive spacing alongside center Rudy Gobert.
Cassels notes that Dosunmu shot 43.9 percent from three-point range last season and could thrive in a three-guard lineup alongside Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball. Although Kuminga bypassed larger financial offers to secure a starting role, the writer contends that shifting him to a sixth-man role playing over 25 minutes per game could effectively optimize Minnesota's roster balance.
