The Portland Trail Blazers are signing forward Caleb Houstan to an Exhibit 10 contract, with plans for him to eventually join their G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix. Portland currently has three openings on its preseason roster, meaning no corresponding move is necessary to complete the signing.
Houstan was waived by New Orleans earlier this week after spending training camp with the team. A four-year NBA veteran who previously played for Orlando and Atlanta, Houstan is no longer eligible for a two-way contract but can earn a bonus of up to $91,000 if waived and kept on the Remix roster for 60 days.
