Jalen Brunson powered an early lead against Chicago, giving the Knicks a template to build on without mistaking it for a trend.

Jalen Brunson scored 22 of his 33 points in the first quarter to lead the New York Knicks to a dominant 135-105 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. The Knicks built an early 43-21 lead by the end of the opening period, improving their record to four wins in their last five games after an initial 0-3 start.
Karl-Anthony Towns added 17 points and 12 rebounds, while bench contributors Dalton Knecht and Jordan Clarkson scored 10 points each. The Knicks limited Chicago to 10-of-44 shooting from three-point range and will next travel to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.
