Josh Hart hasn't confirmed he'll play in the Knicks' opener, and Mohamed Diawara offers a temporary option if the ankle isn't ready.

Alexander Wilson of Empire Sports Media argues that the New York Knicks must not rush Josh Hart back from an ankle issue simply for opening night. Hart remains uncertain for Tuesday's regular-season opener at Madison Square Garden after missing Thursday's preseason finale against the Toronto Raptors.
Wilson suggests that head coach Mike Brown should utilize alternative options rather than risk Hart's health for the banner-raising celebration. Mohamed Diawara started in Hart's place during the preseason finale, while backcourt alternatives such as Miles McBride and Landry Shamet offer additional rotation depth.
