New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown sparked attention after making a candid comment following Dalton Knecht's team debut. Brown stated that people wrongly view Knecht simply as a shooter because he is white, emphasizing that the player is actually a complete scorer who can attack the rim, shoot from intermediate range, and pass effectively.
Knecht scored 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting in his debut appearance. While praising Knecht's versatile offensive contribution and poise, Brown noted that the newcomer must continue to improve defensively to secure a consistent role in the rotation.
