Tyler Kolek took the first backup point-guard minutes for the Knicks against Chicago and made a case for another opportunity.

Tyler Kolek received backup point guard minutes ahead of Jose Alvarado in the New York Knicks' 135-105 victory over Chicago on Wednesday. Kolek recorded five assists and zero turnovers in 11 minutes of play while running the second unit during the blowout win.
Writer Alexander Wilson argues that the Knicks should give Kolek another opportunity against Cleveland before solidifying their rotation. Wilson notes that while Kolek offers strong playmaking behind Jalen Brunson, Alvarado still provides valuable point-of-attack defensive pressure.
