Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jared McCain named Joel Embiid, Luka Doncic, and Jalen Brunson as the NBA's top foul baiters during an appearance on the show Deflected. Rather than viewing the term negatively, McCain described drawing fouls without making a shot as a compliment and one of the smartest skills an offensive player can possess.
Statistically, Doncic led the league in free throw attempts last season with 10.1 per game, while Embiid followed closely with 8.8 attempts per contest. Brunson averaged 5.7 attempts per game last season, utilizing craft and physical strength to regularly get to the free throw line.
