Thomas Sorber admission makes Aday Mara all the more valuable to Thunder

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Thomas Sorber has yet to play for the team over a year into his tenure after suffering an ACL tear last offseason. Sorber recently noted that team personnel advised him to remain patient and follow guidance from the medical staff as he continues his recovery ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Sorber underwent an additional knee procedure over the summer to clean up the joint, extending his recovery period beyond typical timelines. Consequently, the Thunder are positioned to rely on fellow young first-round big man Aday Mara to absorb minutes in the frontcourt rotation.
