A day after Dalen Terry scored his first points for Oklahoma City, the Thunder gave his roster spot to another former first-round pick.

The Oklahoma City Thunder waived 2022 first-round pick Terry just days after signing him on November 4 to a multi-year deal. The transaction cleared a roster spot to finalize a trade with the Sacramento Kings for Nique Clifford on Sunday, November 8. In exchange for Clifford, the Thunder sent Utah's 2028 second-round draft pick and Minnesota's 2030 second-round draft pick to Sacramento.
Terry appeared in just one game for Oklahoma City, logging two points in a 114-75 victory over the Washington Wizards. Clifford joins the Thunder as injuries to Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace create immediate wing depth opportunities under head coach Mark Daigneault. Clifford was selected 24th overall in the 2025 NBA Draft.
