A shocking play unfolded during the Magic's preseason game against the Cleveland Cavaliers this week.
Orlando Magic forward Noah Penda experienced a rare disallowed basket during a preseason game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the KIA Center. After stealing a pass, the 21-year-old attempted a two-handed dunk on a fast break, but officials waved off the field goal after a replay review revealed offensive basket interference. The ball struck Penda's face before clearing the net and ricocheted back out.
Despite the unusual blunder, the Orlando Magic defeated the Cavaliers 132-116. Penda contributed five points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block across 19 minutes of action off the bench, where he is expected to serve in a supporting role this season.
