The Orlando Magic revved out of the gate from deep once again. Then cooled off too much in another home defeat to the Washington Wizards.

The Orlando Magic suffered a 103-94 home defeat to the Washington Wizards at Kia Center, falling to a 2-5 overall record on the season. After an early perimeter run, Orlando endured a prolonged cold spell, shooting just 2-for-20 from 3-point range across the second and third quarters. Franz Wagner led the Magic with 24 points, while Desmond Bane scored 20. Anthony Davis paced the Wizards with 27 points and nine rebounds, backed by 22 points from Kyshawn George.
Orlando struggled to generate reliable scoring in the absence of Paolo Banchero and Anthony Black, finishing 11-for-39 from beyond the arc alongside committing 18 turnovers. Washington answered Orlando's late fourth-quarter rally with clutch baskets and an 18-10 advantage in free-throw attempts. Orlando's bench managed only 25 total points, underscoring ongoing depth concerns as the team remains winless in four home games to begin the campaign.
