Dean Wade has been as good as advertised for the 76ers as a defender and connective passer, but his refusal to shoot has to be a thing of the past.

Writer Nicolas Kyle Pring argues that while Dean Wade has excelled defensively for the Philadelphia 76ers, his reluctance to shoot is becoming a frustrating issue. Despite playing nearly 28 minutes per game, the forward is averaging just 3.6 points while recording an NBA-low 4.5 field goal attempts per 100 possessions.
Pring notes that Wade attempted zero shots in 27 minutes against the New York Knicks despite open looks. Although Wade contributed 10 assists against the Detroit Pistons, Pring emphasizes that Wade must shoot more willingly to prevent opposing defenses from neutralizing Philadelphia's spacing.
