One of LeBron James’ ex-teammates’ coffee addiction led to a hospital visit in the middle of the 2015 NBA Finals. The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors engaged in a thrilling contest during the 2015 NBA Finals.
NBA analyst Brian Windhorst revealed that former Cleveland Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova was hospitalized during the 2015 NBA Finals due to severe cramping exacerbated by heavy coffee consumption. Dellavedova drank coffee before games, at halftime, and between quarters throughout the series against the Golden State Warriors.
After guarding Stephen Curry for an entire game, Dellavedova suffered full-body cramps in the locker room cold tub. Medical staff administered two IVs before transporting him to the hospital by ambulance, though the Cavaliers ultimately lost the 2015 Finals.
