Joel Embiid spoke to the media after the 76ers’ preseason matchup against the Nets tonight and addressed the rumors that claimed LeBron James apparently shouted at him for being late to practice one day.
Joel Embiid has firmly denied rumors alleging that LeBron James shouted at him for arriving late to Philadelphia 76ers practice. Speaking after a preseason game, Embiid labeled the claims untrue and suggested he was treated as an easy target for outside noise. Broadcaster Mike Breen, who originally shared the story on television, had previously issued an apology after James and head coach Nick Nurse both refuted the claim.
Embiid's comments followed the 76ers' 114-108 preseason loss to the Brooklyn Nets. Embiid struggled in the contest, recording six points, three rebounds, three assists, and eight turnovers while shooting 1-for-5 from the floor in 24 minutes.
