The Los Angeles Lakers are keeping everything LeBron James-related positive.

The Los Angeles Lakers have dismissed any notion of bad blood following LeBron James' decision to leave the team and join the Philadelphia 76ers. James departed Los Angeles at the end of the 2025–2026 NBA season after an eight-year tenure that included a championship, opting to sign a minimum deal with Philadelphia.
Addressing reporters alongside head coach JJ Redick, Lakers executive Rob Pelinka expressed gratitude for James' contributions to the franchise. Pelinka emphasized that the organization remains thankful for their successful run together as the team transitions to a new era with new players.
