LeBron James proving doubters wrong as 76ers become surprise NBA title contenders

The Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as major NBA championship contenders following an 8-1 start to the season with LeBron James and Jaylen Brown. Despite offseason questions regarding how multiple star players would share the ball, Philadelphia quickly established strong on-court chemistry. Analyst Chris Broussard noted on First Things First that the 76ers currently look like the best team in the Eastern Conference and the favorites to reach the NBA Finals.

José Rodríguez notes that Philadelphia's primary challenge moving forward will be managing health, particularly regarding Joel Embiid's injury history and the workload of the 41-year-old James. Led by head coach Nick Nurse, the 76ers aim to manage player availability carefully throughout the regular season as they seek to end a 25-year NBA Finals drought.
