LeBron James publicly refuted a claim by Mike Breen that he held Joel Embiid accountable for being late, and now the legendary broadcaster has apologised.
NBA broadcaster Mike Breen has issued an apology to LeBron James after publicly sharing an inaccurate story regarding Joel Embiid. During a Philadelphia 76ers preseason broadcast, Breen claimed that James reprimanded Embiid for arriving a couple of minutes late to practice. James subsequently refuted the claim on Instagram, stating the story was untrue and confirming that Embiid had not been late.
Speaking to ESPN, Breen explained his original intent was to praise James for bringing accountability to the team rather than highlight any conflict. While noting he did not know why his source provided inaccurate information, Breen stated that he believes James and apologized for airing the story.
