Nick Nurse needs to give Tyrese Maxey a break, or it will derail the Philadelphia 76ers' championship hopes.

Writer Nathan Doyle argues that Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse must reduce guard Tyrese Maxey's heavy playing time to prevent burnout and injury risks. Despite Philadelphia racing to a 7-1 start, Doyle notes that Maxey is averaging 37.4 minutes per game, the second-highest mark in the league, behind only Jamal Murray.
According to the writer, the 76ers possess enough roster depth with players like Jaylen Brown, VJ Edgecombe, and Anfernee Simons to safely rotate minutes. Doyle contends that overextending Maxey during the regular season risks compromising his physical condition for the postseason.
