The Philadelphia 76ers rallied late to secure a 109-104 road victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday evening. Tyrese Maxey led the offense with 38 points, while rookie VJ Edgecombe sank a late clutch three-pointer over Grayson Allen to help seal the win. The comeback was fueled by a decisive 15-3 game-ending run by Philadelphia in the final two minutes.
Playing on the second night of a back-to-back, the Sixers were without Joel Embiid and LeBron James, while Jaylen Brown returned to action. Anfernee Simons added 19 points with five triples, Jabari Walker scored 12 off the bench, and Dean Wade contributed 10 assists. The victory improved Philadelphia's record to 6-1 on the season ahead of Monday's home clash with Chicago.
