The Philadelphia 76ers fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers 119-95 in NBA Cup East Group B action, dropping their tournament record to 1-1. After falling behind by double digits and trailing by as many as 16 points in the first half, Philadelphia rallied to pull within two points midway through the third quarter. However, Cleveland quickly re-established control and pulled away to secure a convincing 24-point victory.
Writer Sean Kennedy highlighted bright spots for the Sixers despite the defeat, including VJ Edgecombe scoring 19 points and recording four steals. Jaylen Brown added 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while backup center Jabari Walker contributed eight points and five rebounds in place of the unavailable Adem Bona.
