VJ Edgecombe was left with a bloody nose after an accidental elbow by LeBron James during the Philadelphia 76ers’ win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Sixers were involved in an eventful game at home.
Philadelphia 76ers guard VJ Edgecombe downplayed an accidental elbow to the nose from Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James during a regular-season game. The incident occurred late in the contest when James was pushed from behind by teammate Donovan Mitchell while contesting a rebound, inadvertently striking the 21-year-old Edgecombe flush in the face.
Despite the bloody nose, Edgecombe remained in the contest and later joked that James could buy him a new nose if needed. Edgecombe contributed 11 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, helping Philadelphia overturn a 29-point deficit to secure the home victory over Cleveland.
