Miles Bridges might work as a small-ball center for the Suns on certain nights, but against the Oklahoma City Thunder, it was not the time to try this move.

Writer Luke Duffy argues that Phoenix Suns head coach Jordan Ott made a tactical mistake by experimenting with Miles Bridges at center during Monday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The defeat dropped the Suns to a 1-2 record, with Duffy contending that Oklahoma City's superior size and physicality quickly punished Phoenix's small-ball lineup.
The Thunder outrebounded the Suns 48-38 and held Devin Booker to just three points. Duffy notes that Ott turned to small-ball partly because Oso Ighodaro was sidelined with an injury and center Khaman Maluach still lacks full trust, while Bridges finished with 17 points in the contest.
