The Phoenix Suns, after surpassing expectations last season, look to aim even higher in the upcoming NBA season. Head coach Jordan Ott was a major addition last year.
The Lead previews the Phoenix Suns' upcoming 2026-2027 NBA campaign as head coach Jordan Ott enters his second season. Phoenix aims to build around veteran star Devin Booker, who averaged 26.1 points per game last season, alongside starters Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Miles Bridges, and Khaman Maluach following a 45-37 finish and first-round playoff sweep against Oklahoma City.
The preview details key offseason moves, including trading Grayson Allen and Royce O'Neale to Charlotte for Miles Bridges and draft compensation. Phoenix also drafted 19-year-old forward Koa Peat with the 30th pick. The outlet argues that Phoenix's season hinges on overall consistency, Booker returning to elite form, and player development in a competitive Western Conference.
