Suns’ Dillon Brooks charged with DUI stemming from incident in March

Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with an arrest in Scottsdale, Arizona, last March. According to online court records, the 30-year-old faces a Class 1 misdemeanor charge and is scheduled to appear in court on October 28. Brooks was originally arrested during an early morning traffic stop on March 6 and was released following the booking process.

In a statement, Suns senior vice president of communications Stacey Mitch confirmed the team addressed the matter with Brooks and offered no further comment. In addition to the DUI charge, Brooks faces separate misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and speeding from a January arrest, with a court date set for November 9.
