Carmelo Anthony shows tough love to Ja Morant. The star guard’s time in Memphis ended with more questions than answers. The 2x All-Star still has the talent to change a game.
Carmelo Anthony has shared words of support and a stern warning for Ja Morant following the guard's trade to the Portland Trail Blazers. Speaking on his "7 PM in Brooklyn" podcast, Anthony expressed optimism regarding Morant's fresh start alongside Damian Lillard. However, the former NBA star issued direct advice to Morant to "get your life together" and refocus mentally following past controversies and injuries in Memphis.
The Trail Blazers acquired Morant from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Jerami Grant and Kris Murray. Portland is pairing Morant with Lillard, who is returning from an Achilles injury, as well as young contributors Deni Avdija, Donovan Clingan, and Toumani Camara. Former NBA forward Kevin Garnett also endorsed Portland's potential, expressing praise for the team's promising new roster setup.
