The Story in 60 Seconds

Damian Lillard and Tyrese Haliburton both returned successfully from Achilles injuries on Wednesday night, while the Los Angeles Clippers dedicated their victory to suspended owner Steve Ballmer. Lillard scored 25 points in 23 minutes to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 124-83 rout over the Phoenix Suns in his first game with the franchise since 2023. Meanwhile, Haliburton posted 23 points and 12 assists as the Indiana Pacers edged the New Orleans Pelicans 123-120.

Elsewhere, Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue dedicated a 121-96 win against the Sacramento Kings to Ballmer, who is currently serving a season-long league suspension. The punishment followed an NBA investigation into salary cap circumvention involving Kawhi Leonard, which also cost the franchise a $30 million fine and five first-round draft picks.
