A series of physical altercations at the halfway point of the Wizards-Pistons matchup has the Internet questioning if this is really just a preseason clash. In a non-regular season setting where we’re not used to the star players getting this…

Washington Wizards guard Trae Young and Detroit Pistons guard Daniss Jenkins were both ejected following a heated third-quarter scuffle on October 10 at Capital One Arena. After Jenkins made contact with Young, the two exchanged shoves, leading referee Ben Taylor to assess each player two technical fouls after they continued arguing following an initial stoppage. Anthony Davis intervened during the incident to separate the players.
The altercation followed an earlier second-quarter confrontation between Kyshawn George and Paul Reed. Despite surrendering a 20-point first-quarter lead and losing Young, Washington secured a 114-108 overtime victory over Detroit, led by 15 points each from Tre Johnson and Will Riley.
