Domantas Sabonis scoffs at summer Kings’ trade rumors (and he’s not wrong)

Domantas Sabonis has returned to the Sacramento Kings while brushing aside trade speculation from the summer. Writer Ian Goodwillie argues that Sabonis is justified in dismissing the rumors, as the franchise is unlikely to move the center anytime soon despite engaging in talks with teams like the Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Hornets.

Goodwillie points out that Sabonis's contract, worth nearly $100 million over two seasons, combined with Sacramento's high asking price, makes a trade improbable. The article notes that Sacramento has younger centers Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell, and may pursue Jalen Duren if available.
