While Nique Clifford's box score didn't look good after the Portland loss, the Sacramento Kings still have bigger plans for him.

Ian Goodwillie reports that Nique Clifford's poor shooting performance in the Sacramento Kings' preseason loss to the Portland Trail Blazers was largely due to a positional shift. Clifford struggled from the floor, shooting 0-for-11 and finishing with just two points from free throws, along with five assists and two rebounds in nearly 30 minutes of action.
Goodwillie explains that the Kings experimented by shifting Clifford from his usual wing position to point guard to initiate the offense. While adjusting to the expanded role may lead to uneven production, the writer argues that developing Clifford into a versatile backup point guard could significantly benefit Sacramento's rotational depth.
