Jeremy Sochan went +12 with two threes in his Blazers debut. A look at why he never fit next to Victor Wembanyama and why Spurs Nation is still rooting for him.

Jeremy Sochan scored 10 points in nine minutes during his preseason debut for the Portland Trail Blazers, making four of six field goals and both of his three-point attempts. Air Alamo's Jahlil Williams highlights that Sochan displayed a more fluid shooting form than during his tenure with the San Antonio Spurs, where perimeter shooting struggles ultimately led to his departure.
Williams argues that Sochan failed to develop the offensive spacing needed alongside Victor Wembanyama, leading the Spurs to waive him midseason. Following a brief stint with the New York Knicks, Sochan is now on a non-guaranteed contract with Portland, looking to secure a permanent NBA roster spot.
