The San Antonio Spurs are still waiting for Tobias Harris to make his debut, and when he does, his role may be dramatically different than expected.

Air Alamo's Cal Durrett writes that Tobias Harris' role with the San Antonio Spurs may be smaller than originally projected ahead of his debut. Although signed with expectations of potentially starting at power forward over Julian Champagnie, the Spurs have deployed Devin Vassell at the four position, shifting Harris toward a bench role.
Durrett argues this shift creates a forward logjam affecting Champagnie, Keldon Johnson, and Carter Bryant. The author notes that Harris' playing time could be limited to around 20 minutes per game, though his size and scoring remain valuable assets for coach Mitch Johnson's rotation.
