Victor Wembanyama is taking a hard stance on his own endorsement deals as he took a shot at some of the commercial activities of fellow NBA superstars including LeBron James.

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama has publicly criticized athletes promoting betting and prediction market platforms, calling it "very sad" and vowing he will never accept such endorsements. His comments follow LeBron James agreeing to a reported $15 million-per-year deal with prediction market company Polymarket.
Wembanyama explained that he evaluates endorsement opportunities based on his values rather than financial gain, having previously turned down lucrative offers from soda companies. James' agreement with Polymarket focuses strictly on football to prevent conflicts with his NBA career with the Philadelphia 76ers.
