Victor Wembanyama shared his verdict on Joan Beringer after the Timberwolves teenager left their matchup frustrated with his own performance.

Victor Wembanyama praised Minnesota Timberwolves teenager Joan Beringer's work ethic and humility after their first starting matchup on Saturday. Wembanyama posted 43 points and six blocks to guide the San Antonio Spurs to a 121-111 victory, while Beringer started in place of Rudy Gobert and played 34 minutes.
Despite expressing frustration over his defensive struggles against Wembanyama, Beringer contributed 12 points and six rebounds for a shorthanded Minnesota squad. Timberwolves coach Chris Finch and teammate Jonathan Kuminga encouraged the 19-year-old, commending his effort and urging him to recognize his steady development.
