ESPN's Zach Kram suggested that the Oklahoma City Thunder target Los Angeles Clippers players Kris Dunn and Derrick Jones Jr. as potential trade additions. The proposal follows significant injuries to Thunder players Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace, which are expected to sideline both for most or all of the remainder of the 2026-27 NBA season. Dunn and Jones were the two defenders involved in the collision that caused Williams' fractured leg and dislocated ankle.

Other alternative trade targets mentioned by Kram include New Orleans Pelicans wing Herb Jones, Washington Wizards forward Justin Champagnie, Golden State Warriors guards De'Anthony Melton and Gary Payton II, and Milwaukee Bucks forward Jaime Jaquez Jr.
