Key Things to Know
  • Kawhi Leonard is out for at least a week with left knee swelling and will miss Monday's game against the Clippers.
  • Imaging revealed no acute injury to Leonard's knee, and he will be formally reevaluated in one week.
  • The matchup is the Raptors' only road visit to the Los Angeles Clippers scheduled for this regular season.
The Story in 60 Seconds

Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard will be sidelined for at least one week to undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program for swelling in his left knee. Although imaging revealed no acute injury, the timeline officially rules Leonard out for Toronto's upcoming game against his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers, at the Intuit Dome on Monday.

The game marks Leonard's only scheduled chance to play in Los Angeles against the Clippers this season. Leonard was traded back to Toronto in September following an NBA salary-cap circumvention investigation, which resulted in historic fines, suspensions, and forfeited draft picks for the Clippers franchise.
