Kawhi Leonard recently sat down with TSN Sports to discuss what led him to rejoin the Raptors and whether his $115 million contract extension played a significant role in that decision.
Kawhi Leonard stated in an interview with TSN Sports that money does not drive him following his two-year, $115 million contract extension with the Toronto Raptors. Leonard explained that the deal primarily provided security for his family, but insisted his main focus remains staying healthy, being great, and competing.
The comments drew criticism from several NBA fans on social media, who viewed his remarks skeptically. Following the new extension, Leonard ranks fourth in NBA history with $543 million in career earnings, trailing only Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James.
